A short history introduction
REGIONAL MISSIONS CONSULTATION: Dec 1989 SUVAFIJI
A South Pacific Regional Missions Consultation was held in Suva, Fiji, in December 1989 under the umbrella of the World Evangelical Fellowship (WEF). The speakers included Dr John Hitchen from New Zealand, who is an authority on the history of Missions in the Pacific region, and Dr Theodore Williams from the WEF. It was also a time of reconciliation, healing and building of relationships. The real desire and challenge out of this meeting was to see more mission activity out of the region, especially from the PacificIslands, who had been very active in Missions in the past. Another desire was to see a Regional Prayer movement to under-gird all these and that started two years later in 1991.
SPPA - APPA Launched
This APPA annual Pacific regional prayer event started in the Solomon Islands in 1991 under the name of the South Pacific Prayer Assembly (SPPA). The name was changed to the “All Pacific Prayer Assembly” - (APPA) in Vanuatu in 2003 to include the whole Pacific. The Lord’s desire is for every nation in the Pacific to host their own annual National Prayer Assembly and also to embrace Micronesia and Hawaii in this movement. God sees the Pacific as one region and family including all Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia.

THE DEEPSEA CANOE VISION

Scene 1:
SOLOMON ISLANDS
I saw a valley before me. Very soon the valley began to be filled with flowing water. It developed into a flood. The water was crystal clear. There was no dirt or object in the water. The flood came to a dam and the valley began to be filled with water until it became a beautiful lake with a bluish green colour.
Scene 2: SOUTH PACIFIC
As the dam was completely filled with water it overflowed its brink. As the water overflowed its brink, it changed into a mist floating away like a cloud. At that point of time, a map of the whole world came into the scene. The cloud floated from the Solomon Islands to Australia and back once. Then the cloud floated eastward to the Nations in the South Pacific region, then south to New Zealand, then west to Australia and then north to Papua New Guinea.
Scene 3: THE
AMERICAS
As the cloud got to Papua New Guinea, it changed into a three pronged powerful current, which seemed like that which is caused by a high speed boat, but without the actual boat. This powerful current headed straight eastward towards the West Coast of the United States of America. As it hit the USA, the centre current continued on towards the East Coast of the United States of America. The southern current turned south and headed for the South Pole. The northern current turned north and headed for the North Pole.
Scene 4: THE WORLD
As the centre reached the East Coast of America, it turned around 180 degrees and developed into a great big mighty tidal wave that stretched from the North Pole to the South Pole. The tidal wave then rolled back and travelled westward. It was so great that it covered all the Nations in its course and so high that it covered even the highest mountain of the earth, Mt Everest. It covered everything in its path as it moved over the Pacific and Asia. As the southern tip came into the Indian Ocean, it curved around and headed up into the Arabian Gulf and then it stood still there. The northern arm kept rolling over Eastern Europe, then onto Western Europe, and then around and over the whole continent of Africa. The northern tip of the wave encircled the continent of Africa until it came to South Africa; it went straight to link up with the southern tip that had been waiting in the Arabian Gulf, forming a perfect circle with Israel in the centre.
Scene 5:
ISRAEL
As the circle was now complete, the wave zoomed in on Jerusalem from all sides. As the waves met in Jerusalem it shot up into the heavens like a great mighty pillar of water and cloud. As it reached deep into the sky, it opened up like a great big mushroom that gradually spread until it enveloped the whole earth. At that point, a voice came out from the cloud saying “And the Glory of the Lord shall cover the Earth as the waters cover the Sea”. With that the vision ended.
APPA 2009 Update
The “All Pacific Prayer Assembly” (APPA) is an annual prayer convocation for the whole Pacific that started in the Solomon Islands in 1991. This prayer movement has been following along the paths of the “Deep Sea Canoe Vision” that was given by God in the Solomon Islands in 1986.
In 2009, the 7th APPA will be held in Pasadena California in July 12-17. The move of God’s glory will touch down in the Americas in 2009, after passing through Hawaii in July 2008. From America, we will see the great tidal wave of the glory sweep through out the whole world before landing in Jerusalem. This will be followed by the launching of the cloud of the glory back to the whole world from Jerusalem.
The 7th APPA will be the first ever APPA hosted by our brethren from Micronesia, with Pastor Paul Otoko as the Coordinator. This will also be the first time for this Prayer Assembly to be held in the Americas.
One of the many revelations from God through this prayer movement is on the three invasions of planet earth by God Himself.
The 3 Historical Invasions of planet earth by God Himself!
There are 3 invasion of planet earth by God Himself:
- The Son of God born as a human being in Bethlehem
- The Spirit of God poured forth for mankind in the upper room in Jerusalem
- The Glory of the Father revealed for mankind in Jerusalem
The first two have already happened, but we are awaiting the third. Just as the first two were historical events that actually happened in Bethlehem and Jerusalem, so the third event will also be an event that will happen in Israel. We believe this will be during the feast of Tabernacles. Then the glory in a cloud formation will be launched back to the world from Jerusalem. This move of God’s Glory known also as the “Day of the Lord”, will include the Shaking of the world, the Harvest of the Lord, the Judgement of God, the Rapture and the physical Return of the Messiah.
These 3 invasions are also related with the feasts of Israel.
- Passover was fulfilled with the death and resurrection of Jesus
- Pentecost (Shavuot or Feast of Weeks) was fulfilled by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit
- The last and greatest feast of all, Tabernacles or Sukkot will be fulfilled through this move of God’s glory.
Since 2003, the Lord Jesus Himself has appeared to us in the Pacific as the King of glory and Captain of the Armies or Lord of Hosts. He is on a military march towards Jerusalem. He will touch down in the Americas in July 2009. From the Americas He will sweep through the Pacific, Asia, Europe and Africa before landing in Jerusalem. Here is a short report on the Captain of the Armies since 2003.
THE CAPTAIN OF THE ARMIES – THE KING OF GLORY IN THE PACIFIC!
The Rev Michael Maeliau as the leading prophet in this move of God’s glory received the following revelation on God’s glory.
- In January of 2003, he received this word from the Lord, ‘The Glory of the Lord has left heaven and is on its way down to earth.’
- On the14th May 03, while in Papua New Guinea he received another word. ‘Pray to earth the Glory of the Lord in Papua New Guinea.’
- On the 10 July 03 in the Solomon Islands, the third word came, ‘The Glory of the Lord is about to touch down in the Solomon Islands.’
- Then on Sunday 17th August 2003, as he was leading in a song to close their service, the Presence of the Lord suddenly descended upon them in a powerful new way. The Lord appeared to Michael in the spirit as Captain of the Armies of the Lord, clad with battle gear with a drawn sword in his hand, as He appeared to Joshua (Joshua 5:13-15). ‘Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell face down to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?” The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. Joshua 5:13-15; NIV
- During the 1st APPA in Vanuatu Nov 2003, the Captain set up Vanuatu as the meeting place for the Pacific, and changed the South Pacific Prayer Assembly (SPPA) to the All Pacific Prayer Assembly (APPA) to include the whole Pacific (notably Hawaii and Micronesia).
- During the 2nd APPA in Tahiti in Sept 2004, the Captain received His nations from the Father (according to Psalm 2) with His title “King of Kings and Lord of Lords” tattooed on His thigh.
- The Captain officially launched His ‘Deep Sea Canoe’ during the 3rd APPA in Aotearoa (NZ) in April 2005. We also declared the beginning of the end of Babylon from the youngest nation and tail end of the Babel migration.
- During the 4th APPA in CairnsAustralia in May 2006, the Captain turned up as the Bridegroom looking for His Bride. The 4th APPA also marked the 400 years since the Spanish navigator Fernandes De Quiros claimed the South Pacific as the GreatSouthLand of the Holy Spirit in Vanuatu in 1606. The 400th Anniversary was also the Pacific’s deliverance from the ‘Spirit of the Pacific’.
- During the 5th APPA in PNG 2007, the Captain presided over His special Feast. The glory of the Lord also increased from a mist to three currents on their way to the Americas according to the Deep Sea Canoe Vision. 80 years ago in 1927, Smith Wigglesworth prophesied in Australia that the last revival on earth before the return of Christ will start from the islands of the Pacific.
- During the 6th APPA in July 08, the Captain of the Armies of the Lord passed through Hawaii on His way to the Americas, releasing judgment and cleansing to the world.
