Welcome to our volunteer page.
We are deeply encouraged by all those patiently willing to join us in unified service to host our Great Captain in the All Pacific Prayer Assembly! We are expecting 400+ brothers and sisters from the pacific and the world of numerous denominations and backgrounds seeking Him in a week of powerful prayer.
Here you will find information about the opportunities we have for you to partner with us in service. We ask that you prayerfully read and commit based on the information provided below.
Our Volunteer Requirements:
- To keep Luke 10:27 through and through in service to the Lord, prayer assembly participants, volunteers, and staff. "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself"."
- Commit to excellence in all service assignments and roles for every All Pacific Prayer Assembly days, July 12-17, 2009.
- Commit to attend volunteer & staff orientation trainings, July 8-11, 2009.
- Raise prayer and financial support of minimum $200.00 dollars for housing & food for pre, during, and post APPA.
- Submit 'Volunteer Registration' and 'Transportation Forms' by June 30, 2009.
- Must be 18 years old and older

Volunteer Housing & Food:
All our volunteers will be housed and served meals in staffs' homes during the Volunteer & Staff orientation training week. During the prayer assembly, all volunteers will be served meals with the assembly participants and housed in female only and male only classrooms. While the classrooms will have bathrooms, there are portable trailer showers stalls set up for all volunteers and participants to use throughout the assembly week. Post APPA, July 18-19, volunteers will remain in the classrooms with staff home meals & showers access. However the 19th will be the last day housing & food are available. July 20-22, 2009, volunteers are welcome to attend the Staff & Elders' debriefing retreat at Lake Elsinore, CA. Please be sure to check the appropriate box on your registration form to attend the debriefing retreat. Housing, food, and transportation to and from the retreat will be provided.
Transportation from and to LAX International Airport:
All volunteers in need of transportation from and to LAX International Airport must submit the transportation form provided in the 'VOLUNTEER TRANS.' tab on www.deepseacanoe.com.
We ask that all volunteers arrive no earlier than July 6, 2009 and no later than July 7, 2009. We ask that all volunteers depart no earlier than July 18 and no later than July 19 if you are not planning to attend the debriefing retreat. If you are attending the debriefing retreat, we ask that all volunteers leave no earlier than July 23 and no later than July 24th.
APPA staff will pick up volunteers arriving together in groups at the LAX airport. However, those arriving individually will need to arrange for personal transportation or follow and ride public transportation where we will pick you up at the station nearest to the William Carey International University. Volunteer Registration:
Fill & submit this form along with your financial support of at least $200.00 by June 30, 2009 to complete your volunteer registration. Please submit your financial support via credit card in the form below or send a check/ money order made out for WCIU - APPA to the address: Institute for Indigeonous Studies, 1539 East Howard Street, Pasadena CA 91104. We will send you a final confirmation e-mail informing you of your registration acceptance and service team placement.
